The group is respected for its rich tone quality and harmony, the unique way of appreciating music of different origins and time. Its broad repertoire includes classical music, sacred music, contemporary works, Chinese art songs and folk songs. 

Recent accomplishment includes:

- Received the silver award in the Global Overseas Chinese Choral Competition “President Cup” in Taipei, Taiwan

  In May 2002.  The group was named “Most beautiful Tone Quality”

- Received the silver award at the “International Folksong Choral Competition” in Barcelona, Spain in September  

  2006, a great experience learning together with choirs from Germany, Italy, Spain, Estonia, Greece, Czech

  Republic, and other eastern European countries

- Sponsored the Philharmonic Orchestra of Dalian University from Dailian, China to Los Angeles and gave the  

  Concert to present the new compositions and performed the Haydn’s Creation with the community choirs

- Sponsored the Czech Children Lark Choir from zidlochovice, Czech Republic to give 3 concerts conducted by 

  Zdeňka Vrbová and Dr. Miloslav Buček at Los Angeles in September 2007

- Presented the “Song of Melody” concert in October 2008

- Performed 2 Taiwan 88 Flood Disasters charity concerts in August and November 2009

- Presented the “Ode to the Earth” concert in January 2010

- Received recognition from the Los Angeles County Arts Commission for 10 consecutive years

音樂家林雲郎先生於1994年初發起成立「洛華音樂基金會」，隨即成立附屬團體「洛杉磯華人合唱團」，希望藉著高素質的合唱音樂提昇南加州華人合唱音樂水準，並促進中西音樂交流。「洛華」的演唱曲目極為廣泛，從民謠、藝術歌曲、經文歌、彌撒曲、清唱劇、歌劇選曲及近代的合唱作品，均有獨到的詮釋。

-          1997年赴台灣舉行巡迴演唱會，在台北國家音樂廳演出

-          1999年10月應 Pasadena古典合唱團邀請演出

-          2000年6月應洛杉磯歌劇團的邀請，與多位專業人士在日美場參加5場 ”On Gold Mountain”  劇的首演

-          2000年演出 Gian Carlo Menotti 的歌劇 「阿瑪與夜訪客」

-          2001年6月赴奧地利 Innsbruck 參加國際音樂節，被音樂節指揮們讚為「準備最充分的團體」

-          2002年5月在全球海外華僑合唱團觀摩賽中得銀牌獎，獲譽為音色最美具專業水準的參賽團體

-          2003年12月與洛杉磯華人聖樂團演出 Vivaldi 榮耀頌

-          2004年11月演出「從原始到現代」，其中「馬蘭姑娘」所表現出的原始與現代帶給極大的震撼

-          2000及2004年聖誕被洛杉磯縣藝術委員會邀請在 Dorothy Chandler Pavilion 參與聖誕慶祝會的演出

-          2005年12 月與洛杉磯華人聖樂團演出 2 場韓德爾「 彌賽亞」

-          2006年9月赴西班牙巴薩隆納參加國際民謠合唱大賽榮獲銀牌獎，參加競賽團隊來自德國、意大利、西班牙、愛沙尼亞、希臘、捷克及東歐其他國家，是一次難能可貴的經驗

-          2006年11月於 Pasadena 的Ambassador Auditorium 演出 Mozarts’ Choral Work

-          2007年7月與社區聯合合唱團及大連大學金宸青年交響樂團演出「仲夏之夜」音樂會

-          2007年9月主辦「雲雀之歌」- 東歐捷克「雲雀兒童合唱團」訪美演唱會。該團由捷克名指揮 Zdeňka Vrbová  教授 及 Miloslav Buček 教授分別指揮

-          2008 年10月演出「旋律之歌」

-          2009年8月，11月為八八水災演出2 場賑災演唱會

-          2010 年1月演出「大地頌讚」
